It’s been a busy period for the E-QUALITY partnership, and we’re excited to share new progress from our ongoing work to enhance Quality Assurance (QA) in Higher Education across Europe.

Over the past months, our consortium has been actively shaping innovative tools and training opportunities that support universities in improving teaching, learning, and institutional evaluation processes. From developing the E-QUALITY digital platform to piloting the training course and MOOC for QA managers, the project is moving closer to delivering meaningful, user-friendly solutions for the academic community.

We’re developing Module 1 of the E-QUALITY platform training course to build a shared baseline on key concepts, actors, and structures of Quality Assurance (QA) in HE.

It covers:

• Quality Assurance vs. Quality Control
• Internal vs. External QA
• Key references: ESG, ENQA, EQAR, and national QA agencies
• A practical glossary

🚨 News Alert: something’s brewing! 👀🔥

We’re currently working on the training module content for the E-QUALITY Platform — a key milestone of WP5 in the E-QUALITY project.

🎓 What’s coming? ✅ Asynchronous modules + extra resources on QA systems in Higher Education ✅ Designed for QA managers, coordinators, and administrators ✅ Competency-based & scenario-driven learning, with case studies from partner universities ✅ Around 3 hours per module (≈ 15 hours total, including additional resources) ✅ Content in English will be translated into Bulgarian, Greek, Italian, and Polish

Just back from an interesting training in Pafos! 🇨🇾✨

From 3–5 November 2025, we were welcomed by Neapolis University Pafos for the E-QUALITY short-term joint staff training, a key milestone of WP4 of the project.

Over three days, partners worked side by side to: 🔹 Dive into the E-QUALITY digital platform – from registration and user roles to hands-on navigation 🔹 Connect WP4 pilot testing with the upcoming WP5 activity 🔹 Explore how learning modules are structured within the platform

🎓 E-QUALITY – upcoming project phase starting in autumn 2025

As part of the E-QUALITY project, which aims to support the enhancement of quality in Higher Education, Work Package 4️⃣ – Development of the E-QUALITY Platform will be implemented starting in autumn.

🔍 🎯The main objective of this work package is to develop a comprehensive digital tool (web-based platform and mobile application) to support European Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) in managing quality assurance processes more effectively.

🎓 Do students believe QA measures work? 📊

As part of the E-Quality project, students from Bialystok University of Technology were asked how effective they find current Quality Assurance (QA) efforts in ensuring high academic standards.

🔍 Here’s what they said: 🔸 Nearly half (46%) rated QA measures as moderately effective 🔸 Over 36% believe they are quite effective 🔸 Almost 10% rated the system as not very effective 🔸 Only 7% consider QA to be very effective 🔸 No students found the system completely ineffective

🎓 A good practice from the Faculty of Engineering Management at Bialystok University of Technology ⬇

As part of the E-QUALITY project, which supports the development of modern, high-quality educational programmes and addresses societal challenges, we’re proud to showcase an initiative that bridges the worlds of finance and art.

📍 At the Faculty of Engineering Management (WIZ PB), within the framework of VIA CARPATIA inter-university cooperation project, we regularly organize panels with professionals to inspire students and enhance their career readiness in a broader social and economic context.

📢 How Satisfied Are University Staff with QA Systems? 🎓📊

As part of the E-Quality project, academic staff at Białystok Uniwersity of Technology were asked to assess their satisfaction with the quality assurance (QA) system at their institution.

🔍 What did we find? 💬 Over 60% rated their satisfaction as medium 🌟 Around 30% expressed high satisfaction ⚠️ A small minority (8.7%) reported only basic satisfaction

➡️ These results highlight a generally positive attitude toward QA systems—yet also signal space for improvement, especially in aligning QA efforts with staff expectations.

📊 Tracking graduate careers – a good practice at Bialystok University of Technology

As part of its commitment to quality, Bialystok University of Technology (BUT) regularly conducts surveys on graduate career paths and labor market needs, enriched with insights from employers.

🎯The aim? To ensure that study programmes remain relevant and aligned with current job market trends.

🧑‍🎓The data collected by the Careers and Alumni Cooperation Office helps improve: ✅ the structure and content of study programmes ✅ decisions on admission limits in various fields ✅ the university’s responsiveness to labor market expectations

📈Improving internal quality processes in higher education – Bialystok University of Technology (Politechnika Białostocka) approach

As part of the E-Quality project, Bialystok University of Technology has implemented a set of proven methods, tools, and strategic approaches to enhance its internal quality assurance system. The goal?🎯Greater efficiency, high-quality education, and alignment with national and international standards.

👩🏫👨🏫Academic teachers and staff delivering educational content are key to this mission. Their expertise, teaching skills, and dedication directly impact the learning environment.

The E-QUALITY partnership has released two major outputs under Work Package 3 (WP3): the General Quality Assurance Report and the General Report on Best Practices on Quality Assurance. Together, these publications mark an important step toward a shared, stakeholder-driven understanding of quality in higher education—and translate that evidence into practical solutions that will inform the E-QUALITY Platform and the upcoming training pathway for QA professionals.

🗓️On 25–26 June 2025, the 2nd meeting of the project “Enhancing Quality Assurance in Higher Education (E-QUALITY)” took place with the participation of all project partners: 🌎 University of Piraeus - Πανεπιστήμιο Πειραιώς, Enoros Consulting Ltd, Великотъρνοβски университет „Св. св. Кирил и Методий“ (St. Cyril and St. Methodius University of Veliko Tarnovo), Neapolis University Pafos, UNIMED - Mediterranean Universities Union, Politechnika Białostocka (Bialystok University of Technology).

🤝The meeting served as an important opportunity to assess the project’s progress and coordinate upcoming activities. The agenda included the following key points: 🔹 Update on the project’s implementation 🔹 Progress on dissemination activities under WP2 🔹 Review of WP4 implementation and related activities 🔹 Initiation and planning of WP5 activities 🔹 Discussion on the M12 Quality Report.
